Description:
As the Junior ICT Applications Engineer, you will be reporting to the Application Support Manager. You will be responsible for supporting the different RMA departments, IT queries and to ensure they can execute their different business functions. You will be responsible for ensuring that the CompCare systems align with the IT strategy and that systems are working according to specification.
Required Skills:

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE?

  • NQF Level 6: Diploma in Information Technology
  • Microsoft SQL certification (Essential)
  • MCP qualifications will be an advantage
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in finance systems and IT system knowledge
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in IT environment.

Duties:

Management, testing and reporting of defects:

  • Log defects and provide feedback to the different business units within RMA on issues and status updates
  •  Test and provide feedback of system issues to the different business departments and IT
  •  Report on defects and ageing defects.

Provide ICT system support on the different systems deployed within RMA (IT):

  • Install and set certain programs
  • Investigate ICT issues experienced by the different business departments in conjunction with ICT development to resolve the issues.

New development testing:

  • Test new developments with the relevant departments

System Administration:

  • Deactivate licenses / access for the users who have left the organisation
  • Assist RMA ICT with Licensing management.

Resolve calls and perform adhoc responsibilities:

  • Investigate Compcare and other Business system calls / issues
  • Resolve calls within the ICT SLA
  •  Ensure that all work is performed in terms of required standards and regulation
  •  Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to
  •  Assist with adhoc responsibilities within agreed timelines and quality.
